Mark Hamill Goes After Aaron Rodgers For Wearing 'Star Wars' Hoodie
Aaron Rodgers' public proclamation that he's unvaccinated on The Pat McAfee Show last Friday has caused a stir between the media, fans and... Luke Skywalker?
It appears legendary Star Wars actor Mark Hamill is not a fan of what the Packers quarterback said. Rodgers joined McAfee on Tuesday to clarify some of what he said, while taking responsibility for misleading people. He did so wearing a Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker sweatshirt.
"Of all the sweatshirts he could have worn, he had to take full responsibility in THAT one?" Hamill wrote on Twitter.
Rodgers said he did not get vaccinated because he has an allergy to an ingredient in both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. He ruled out taking the Johnson & Johnson after it was pulled in the spring for its connection to blood clots.
“I’m not an anti-vaxx, flat-earther…I’m somebody who’s a critical thinker…I march to the beat of my own drum," Rodgers said. "I believe strongly in bodily autonomy and the ability to make choices for your body…
"Not to have to acquiesce to some woke culture, or crazed group of individuals who say you have to do something. Health is not a one-size-fits-all for everybody. And for me (the vaccination) involved a lot of study in the offseason.”
While Rodgers said on Tuesday that he stands by what he said, he did acknowledge the attention his comments got was a lot for him to handle.
“I was definitely tested by some of the comments I heard," Rodgers said. "I’m human and stuff can definitely hurt your feelings."
