Man Says His Mom Was Caught Hooking Up With His Wife's Brother At His In-Laws Anniversary Party

You know what they say, love can be found in the most unexpected places. This man's mom and brother-in-law finding each other is the perfect example of this playing out in the wild.

The 28-year-old says his mom's relationship with his wife's brother was uncovered during a party to celebrate his in-laws' anniversary.  His wife had her suspicions about the relationship between his 48-year-old mom and her 28-year-old brother.

She kept an eye on them during the party before catching them in the act. The man explained, "Mom got divorced from my abusive dad when I was seven. Never re-married."

He said that during the party his wife revealed to him that she was "100 percent sure" that his mom and her brother were in a relationship. She then noticed both of them were missing.

"She immediately said she had been eyeing and observing my mom for a while," he continued.  "[She] hadn't told me earlier, because she was making sure."

That's when his wife caught them in the act. After noticing that they had disappeared, she went looking for them. She found them in an upstairs bedroom fooling around and started shouting.

"I followed her along with a few other people from the party," he recalled. "It was embarrassing as f**k. I melted in shame."

His wife's brother and his mom were "half naked and pretty drunk" when they were caught in the act. He said, "They were making out when my wife caught them."

Can't A Man's Mom And A Brother-In-Law Enjoy Each Other's Company In Peace?

As if being caught wasn't bad enough, the man's mom started catching all the heat for the secret relationship from his in-laws.  They weren't happy about the situation at all and let the insults fly.

"Within seconds, the situation escalated and my wife's parents started insulting my mom, calling her names, blaming her for luring their 'son' and having 'dirty' relationships with him," he said.

"Everyone just blamed my mom. My wife's mom literally shamed my mom, saying women like her (middle-aged, divorced) are the worst."

Talk about saying some things that guarantee there won't be another get-together with both sides of the family. The wife's mom went hard in the paint.  

Things didn't end after they got home either. The man's mom lives in an apartment that he owns.  His wife wanted him to kick his own mother out for having a relationship with her brother.

When he refused to do so, he asked the internet, "Am I the asshole?"

Of course, the answer to that is an easy one. He's not the asshole here.  His mom and brother-in-law are adults, and they can do whatever they want.

That includes making his life even more difficult, which they plan to do. The relationship isn't enough, now they want to move in together. Into the apartment he owns and refuses to kick his mom out of.

"He wants to leave his house and move in my mom's apartment," he said. "I am yet to talk to my mom, but Ben's (the brother-in-law) saying my mom's also supporting him. It's all going (to be) messed up now."
