Kamala Harris Sends Stupid Tweet About Beyonce's Country Music Album, Is Completely Wrong

Vice President Kamala Harris sent a truly wild tweet about Beyonce dropping a country music album.

Beyonce released her first country music album - "Cowboy Carter" - after plenty of anticipation and chatter about her dabbling in a new genre.

It's not good. It's not good at all, in my humble opinion. I'm not even sure how to describe it, but whatever it is, it's damn sure not country music. You're free to disagree (let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com), but I think many country music fans will agree.

Kamala Harris would definitely disagree!

Kamala Harris thinks Beyonce "redefined" country music.

The Vice President of the United States of America uncorked an absolutely scorching hot take claiming Beyonce "redefined a genre."

I'm sorry, but what? Beyonce redefined country music? That has to be one of the stupidest comments I've ever seen on social media.

Again, you're free to love Beyonce's music. You're free to hate it. You're also free to not care. Those are all acceptable options because America is a free country.

However, claiming she "redefined" country music is hilariously dumb. Did Johnny Cash never exist? Did outlaw country just disappear?

Country music has gone through many different eras, but whatever Beyonce's music is certainly isn't one of them. Country music as a genre has had some consistent themes for decades.

The struggle of rural American life, the love of the USA, heartbreak, having a great dog, violence, drinking and more themes are consistently found in country music.

We shouldn't have to pretend country music is whatever Beyonce tells us it is, and I'm definitely not going to apologize for pointing out the truth.

Furthermore, two of the biggest stars on the planet right now are Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan, and both are country music singers. The latter's music is about as dark as it gets and is a real throwback to the era of ballads and telling stories.

Redefined a genre? Give me a break. "Cowboy Carter" is some kind of pop music wearing a cowboy hat and attempting to call itself country music. It's not. Give me a call when she sings about shooting a man just to watch him die or brings the heat like in "Jedd Black." Agree or disagree? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
