Julian Edelman & Shakira Are Dating?
Lost in the commotion of the Super Bowl buildup was the news that Julian Edelman just happened to pop up at Shakira's 47th birthday party and the speculation that this guy has added one of the world's top free agents to his list of accomplishments.
According to European tabloids, based on a photo shared by Shakira after her birthday party, these two were getting cozy with one another at the soirée in Miami.
Spanish-language tabloid OKDiario had a source inside the party that relayed the news that these two seem to be more than just friends who see each other at Whole Foods.
"In fact, they did not hide and posed together and they could be seen quite complicit throughout the party, something that has obviously sparked rumors of romance between them," the news outlet reported (via Google Translate) last week.
Let's not forget that Shakira wouldn't be out of the equation for a guy like Edelman who has already climbed the mountaintop of supermodels via his past relationship with Adriana Lima in her prime.
He also dated AnnaLynne McCord a decade ago during the height of her career.
If this relationship is officially ON, the gossip experts say that Edelman would have stolen Shakira's heart away from the likes of Tom Cruise who was reportedly so mesmerized by her powers that he wouldn't stop hitting on her to the point where she was "begging" the guy to stop.
"She doesn’t want to embarrass or upset him, but there’s no attraction or romance on her part — she was just being friendly. She’s flattered but not interested," a source told Vulture in May.
With her crazy Spanish IRS case behind her where she faced jail time, Shakira could be indicating a comeback within the United States and what better way to make it happen then with a relationship with a former Super Bowl champion who presents well on the red carpet, has all the cool former NFL friends and has just enough buzz to where he's not a nobody, but Shakira is still the star.
From all indications here, Shakira-Edelman is probably a go.
