Jennifer Aniston Gets A Pump In, RIP Ole Anderson & All Hell Breaks Loose At Toledo Mexican Restaurant
Update: TNML is on fire early this season
I'll say it again: It's not some marketing strategy for me to claim the MLGA shirts are selling out just to pay on your emotions. The 2nd edition of the shirt is nearly sold out after going on sale this past Friday.
Why don't you guys just print a couple of thousand shirts?
That's T-shirt Manager Olivia G's profession, so I defer to her on this stuff, but as a layman I have to say it's a smart way to control how much product you're holding at one time. Limited edition runs prevent overstocking.
Now I'm thinking about spending a few dollars on digital billboards across the U.S. – I feel like Nebraska is my target audience. Have any of you ever purchased remnant digital billboard inventory? Which one of you sells digital billboard remnants?

Let's check in with Toledo to see how things are going
Beau in Toledo emailed me this morning to see if I saw the bigguns' brawling on the local news. Oh, I saw. I was all over this one last night. You know things are out of control when the Mexican restaurants turn to the local media for help outing the scumbags destroying their restaurants.
Apparently, white golf shoes are ‘IN’ and Captain Ron wasn't lying to me
• Scott J. writes:
Welcome to the white golf shoe club. It seems white has taken over as the main golf shoe. My buddies mainly wear white golf shoes. I actually have 3 pair of golf shoes, black, white, and grey. The key, from what I’ve been told by my buddies, is to make sure your belt matches your shoes. So you can wear your white shoes with any color of shorts/pants. Just need to make sure your shoes and belt match.
Kinsey:
Wait, now I have to buy multiple golf belts. WTF!?
These white golf shoes might be more trouble than I was looking for. Not only do I have the pressure of now being a two-pairs of golf shoes guy, but now I have to go out and buy matching belts?
This is not the stress I was looking for in 2024.
• Charles K. says:
Congrats on the new white golf shoes. Maybe keep them in the box for a few more months? Otherwise they’ll look like my new white shoes that are now green/blue. I would imagine golfing in Ohio is like Colorado at the moment where the greens have heavy dye / fertilizer on them. I made the mistake of busting out a new white pair and after the round they were a different color.
As far as Costco pants you probably have your choice of black or black… better buy two in case you get a hole in one (my kids told me that one a while back).
Off to Lubbock tomorrow for the big basketball game with Texas in town.
• Rory M. advises:
Now you're going to feel the pressure to keep them clean when you see others with still bright white and yours are filthy after 1/2 a round.
This is the best I've found. Warm water & an old tooth brush does the trick.
Works great cleaning your kitchen too.
Kinsey:
I should've known Captain Ron was leading me down a trap where now I have to buy shoe shine.
Mike T. and Cindy T. are out and about today

Former Screencaps star is moving on up the TV ladder
I don't remember which edition of Screencaps it was over the last four years, but I do remember saying Liv Johnson would be the next great TV broadcaster years ago when she was working in California. I think it was Fresno.
That was like 3-4 years ago. Then she took a TV job in SW Florida. About three months ago, Liv was suddenly quiet about her career. She wasn't promoting her TV work. I figured she was taking time off and possibly burnt out.
On Monday, we found out why she had been quiet. She's now working for Fox 5 in New York City.
My prediction is about to come true. I don't speak for the Fox family, but I know when an anchor makes the jump from SW Florida to the Fox5 Manhattan studio, there are big things in the works for one's career.

I saw Grant's post and just want to throw out a West Coast drum maker. My cousin custom builds drum kits right here in the USA. It always amazes me the beauty and precision with which he does it, the guys that do this work are true craftsman. He is a one man shop, has a family and a full time job but he has a love for this work and turns out an amazing product.
His pics are like a drum sunset, could scroll through them all day.

Lawnmower hairline tattoo
Nate A. in Illinois writes:
Longtime, first time. Scrolling through Screencaps today and saw the post of a Florida gentleman with a lawnmower hairline tattoo. I couldn’t believe it. I immediately remembered I had snapped a similar photo a couple years back at my oldest son’s band concert with the intent of submitting it over. I jumped right on my phone to track down the attached. Love this community!

Memorable school skip days
• Duncan in Georgia writes:
Well just this past Friday the kids missed school so we could head to Destin for my daughter’s soccer tourney. They had to play in a boys' division and won the championship!
But typically I pull them out early once per year and take them to a Braves day game. Less people, less traffic, unbearable heat, but we still love it. And my buddy has connections so I get his front row tix. This is from 5 years ago, before the nets were extended. Now this view has a giant net in front of it.

• Kevin in Gibsonia, PA shares:
We moved to Pittsburgh when my son was 4. Every year, I would pull him out of school to go watch a Pirates game (even though we are Yankees fans). When he was in third grade, we went to a game against the Giants in old 3 Rivers Stadium. We got there around 11:30 so we could watch BP.
The game started at 1 - there were maybe 5000 people there. Mid-way through the second inning the sky opened up and it poured.
We had good lower level seats so we retreated back a few rows so we could be covered by the overhang. During the delay, they put the Cubs game on all of the TV's. I asked my son if he wanted to leave, but he said no. We sat and watched the game, ate and talked.
The rain finally stopped around 5 and the game resumed. By 7, it rained again for another hour or so. We stayed til the end, there might have been 250 fans left, got home around 11:30. We still consider it one of the best days we had together. On Tuesday of this week, our son is turning the tables on us.
He is pulling the wife and I out of work and taking us to Aruba for 6 days to celebrate my wifes 15th birthday (you figure it out)-all on his dime. Might have a few sunset photos for you. Love the SC community.
• Nate W. says:
In 1992 I was a senior in high school and my girlfriend at the time had tickets to the Midwest regional of the NCAA tournament in Milwaukee. No brainer, right? I think I saw Memphis/Pepperdine and Arkansas/Murray St.
In order to go, I had to skip 5 hours worth of classes. This is significant because my father taught at my high school and would not write me a note to say I was 'sick'. The consequence of this was 5 detentions (one per hour missed) for an unexcused absence. Still worth it.
Monday morning I got my first detention slip and dutifully showed up to fulfill my time. The next day, a slip did not show up, which can happen, but I still served my detention wanting to get them over with as fast as possible.
The following day I was walking the hall in the morning, and the Vice Principle in charge of detentions (who also was the Varsity basketball coach) walked up to me. He said, 'I heard you went to detention last night, did you receive a detention slip?' I said, no of course, and he said 'you don' t need to go to any more detentions' and walked away.
Not sure how he heard about the reason for my unexcused absence, but God bless him.
Thanks for all you do, hope your internet is back up and running.

I was blessed to have grown up in Fort Worth in the 60s. Please excuse David to attend Colonial today was all I needed. My goodness those were the days. Hogan, Palmer, Trevino you name it. One of those days buddies and I are sitting by the bunkers to the right of 1 with a
