HBO Boss Says JK Rowling-Produced Harry Potter Series Will Arrive In 2026

Warner Bros. Discovery is getting ready to milk the cash cow that is Harry Potter once again with a new series that the head of HBO says will see the light of day in 2026.

I can guarantee two things about this show: 1) it will be good, and 2) it will cause some hilarious meltdowns from people who claim to be upset by JK Rowling and her understanding of basic biology.

"This new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years," said Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, according to Deadline. Bloys also said  the new series will be "a faithful adaptation."

This series is expected to be based on the seven original books and will run for "10 consecutive years," which is kind of an odd way to phrase it, but just means that Max is in on this series for the long haul.

You may be thinking, "Wait, they're rebooting Harry Potter already? Didn't they just wrap that up a couple of years ago?" That's what I thought too, but prepare to have your brain turned into shrapnel: the last Harry Potter movie — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II — was released in 2011.

Thirteen years ago?!

That still seems a little soon to return to the well, but anything Harry Potter basically prints money. Go to Universal Studios and you can cruise around Minions Land with hardly anyone there, Springfield is practically a ghost town (no line for Duff! Woo-hoo!), but take a step inside Diagon Alley — the magical shopping area from the world of Harry Potter — and you're instantly shoulder to shoulder with wand-waving adults wearing Hogwarts robes and shotgunning Butterbeers.

People love Harry Potter.

And that is despite the "backlash" against the lady who cooked it all up — and will be an executive producer on this upcoming series — one JK Rowling.

Rowling Gave Us A Perfect Example Of How To Handle Woke Lunatics

Rowling, as you're no doubt aware, hasn't made friends with some of the gender-obsessed lunatics on the left… not that anyone would want to be friends with them in the first place. That was because she is sticking to her guns that men are men and women are women.

Does that upset some people? Yeah. Does she care? No, and why should she?

In fact, she handled it better than almost anyone. She mocked the ultra-sensitive dopes, and highlighted their insanity.

Few have thumbed their nose at wokesters quite like Rowling has over the years. So, it's nice to see that Max doesn't see her as radioactive which was the case a few years ago. In fact, she was practically ignored by a Harry Potter reunion special that was streamed on Max just a few years ago.

It appears they learned from that mistake. Max has realized that irritating a few lunatics — who will probably never be happy about anything — by working with Rowling is a small price to pay for what will almost certainly be a wildly successful series.
