Elite Marines Rapidly Deploy To Haiti As Country Descends Into Violence

Send in the Marines.

It's a saying and mindset the United States has lived by for hundreds of years going back to the Revolutionary War, and once again, the warriors known for doing the most with the least are being called upon to protect Americans.

This time, an elite team of Marines have been deployed to Haiti as the country descends into absolute chaos and anarchy. The officially recognized government of Haiti has fallen, people are fleeing, and the nation is on the brink of complete civil war with gangs running the show.

Marines deploy to Haiti with the control on the brink of total war.

Jimmy Chérizier, known as "Barbecue," is now the most powerful man in the country as Americans have already been evacuated, according to the New York Post.

With some still lingering behind at the embassy, the United States government has made the only decision possible:

Send in the military to rock and roll.

"At the request of the Department of State, the U.S. Southern Command deployed a U.S. Marine Fleet-Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) to maintain strong security capabilities at the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and conduct relief in place for our current Marines, a common and routine practice worldwide. The U.S. Embassy remains open, and limited operations continue, focused on assistance to US citizens and supporting Haitian led efforts to secure a peaceful transition of power," US Southern Command announced in a statement, according to a Wednesday morning report from CBS News.

Translation: Help is on the way.

It's not a secret that the Marines are badass. When they show up, it's almost always a curtain call for the bad guys. They train hard, are rough around the edges in terms of personality (that's a big compliment coming from me!) and lean into their reputation of being war fighters.

Now, some of the best Marines in the world are showing up in Haiti to protect Americans still at the embassy, battle anyone stupid enough to cross the line and evacuate everyone if necessary.

Do we think "Barbecue" values his life? If he does, I'd suggest he tell everyone to stay far away from the embassy because heavily-armed Marines against Haitian gang members is about as unfair of a fight as you could ever imagine.

Also, remember when Trump called Haiti a "sh*thole" and people freaked out? Turn on the news and tell me how you'd assess the situation. Unlike most people virtue signaling, I've actually been to Haiti, and while I won't bog anyone down with details, I can promise you the poverty and lack of structure there is unlike anything you can imagine. That was years ago. It's significantly worse now, and the Marines are coming to the rescue. Pray for the safety of all Americans still on the ground, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
