Groom's Friend Crashes His Wedding, Steals Food, Drinks A Ton Of Free Alcohol Before Sleeping With His Sister

Good luck having everything work out as planned on your wedding day.  It's rarely the case that all is perfectly executed and, in most cases, that's completely fine.

So long as the bride and groom both make it to the altar and one of them doesn't run off and cheat right before the ceremony.  Believe it or not, that's happened before, although not with any kind of regularity.

Speaking of unplanned moments that don't regularly take place at a wedding, a groom's friend showing up and crashing the wedding is definitely one.  Although, it does happen.

Just ask this groom, who shared his story on Reddit.  His friend didn't just crash the wedding by showing up after saying he wasn't going to make it.  That would fall under one of those "completely fine" scenarios that take place at most weddings.

This so-called friend's unexpected attendance ended with him sleeping with the groom's sister.  Not an ideal situation, to say the least, when you're tying the knot and trying to enjoy yourself.

The groom explains how he and his bride-to-be put a ton of work into ensuring that everything at their wedding ran smoothly.  A big waste of time thanks to his friend.  With the stress of crossing all the t's and dotting all the i's behind them, they were happy the big day had finally arrived.

"On Saturday there was a huge relief as the day had arrived, everything was sorted and we could just relax," explained the groom.  "That was until the guests started arriving.  Everything was going smoothly and all of a sudden a friend had just decided that he would turn up.  He was initially invited but because he's gone traveling in Australia he said he wouldn't be able to make it."

The friend's unexpected arrival left the groom "livid when when I saw his stupid smile expecting me to be grateful that he had made the effort to come all this way."  Despite being unhappy that his friend had crashed his wedding, he put a smile on and did his best not to blow up on him.

This Friend Left The Groom With Very Little Options Here

Perhaps the groom should have blown up on him, because things went from bad to a lot worse over the course of the day.  He admitted he would have felt bad kicking his friend out of the wedding, but looking back that might have been the smart move.

They had to make special arrangements to have the groom's friend seated at the reception, only for him to make a scene and scrounge for food off of other guest's plates.

"So I got the best man to just speak to the kitchen who said they couldn't cater for him as they didn't have the stuff and it would also cost but they said they could seat him," the groom continued.  "I was appalled to see that he managed to get hold of a plate and was asking for leftovers at the table, there wasn't even that much."

That wasn't enough to get the friend booted from the wedding.  Neither was the friend repeatedly suggesting how grateful the groom should have been for him to travel all the way just to make it to his wedding.  That did cause the groom to snap at his wedding crashing buddy.

"I obviously didnt want it to ruin the day and had had a few drinks by this point so I went over to speak to him for a bit as he is a friend.  It went alright but he just kept saying how hungry he was after drinking about 10 of the free beers we had paid for," the groom said.

Then came the ultimate kick in the nuts.  He crashed the wedding, embarrassed the groom by eating leftovers, drank a bunch of free beer, then went home with the groom's sister.

"At the end of the evening, I saw him leave with about 4 boxes of the free pizza we had provided and ended up leaving and sleeping with my sister who has just found out she has alpocia."

What a guy.  He traveled all that way to attend your wedding, and now you can't be friends with him anymore.  I mean that's the kind of stuff that gets you removed from the Christmas card list for sure.

And that's exactly what happened.  The groom had enough of this guy's special kind of friendship and sent him a message that they could no longer be friends.
