Good Morning Football Hosts Push Back On Rumor Show May Be Ending

Is Good Morning Football – the NFL Network show that used to be good but stopped being good once Kay Adams left – ending after seven years?

Nope. Not exactly. But it is going dark for about four months before training camp while execs ship the show out west to Gavin Newsom's crime-riddled California.

That was the news NBC tried to break Wednesday evening, but, of course, it led to mayhem on social media.

It all started with a somewhat ominous tweet from Mike Florio – aren't they all? – around 8:30 Wednesday.

"NFLN's New York-based Good Morning Football is ending its run on March 29. It will return later this year (date TBD) as an L.A.-based show, likely with a two-hour footprint from 8-10 a.m. ET/5-7 a.m. PT."

Shortly after the news began to spread, one of the show's hosts – Kyle Brandt – stepped in to dispel any rumors the show was ending. He doubled down on that during Thursday morning's show:

The internet said the same thing about Kay Adams and Good Morning Football

Look, I used to love Good Morning Football. Seriously, it used to be a staple in my house. I was there way back in the beginning when it was actually good, and watchable, and fun.

But let's be honest … it sort of stinks now. That's not just me saying it. You wanna know what 90% of the tweets were last night when the news broke that the show would be going through some pretty major changes?

Pretty much this:

And they are 100% right.

Losing Queen Kay Adams to Fanduel and Nate Burleson to CBS nearly two years ago completely derailed that show. That's not a knock on new host Jamie Erdhal, because she's good, but she ain't Kay Adams.

Peter Schrager is actually excellent on TV, and he's remained that way throughout the entire show. Kyle Brandt used to be awesome, but he's sort of jumped the shark over the past few years with his over-the-top act, which was bound to happen.

Anyway, it looks like the show's gonna look somewhat different this July when it returns from a long, cross-country move.

No idea who's gonna be there, or what – if anything – is gonna change beyond the location, but I reckon we'll find out together.

Or not.

Well, probably not.
