Gisele Bündchen Denies Cheating On Tom Brady Following Speculation About Joaquim Valente Romance Timeline

Gisele Bündchen did not hold back when asked about how her relationship with former NFL superstar Tom Brady ended.

After the two announced their divorce in October 2022, rumors almost immediately started flying that the 43-year-old Bündchen had been cheating on Brady. Rumors grew rapidly after it was revealed that she was in a new relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente.

But in a new interview with The New York Times, Bündchen firmly denied that she ever cheated on Brady.

"That’s a lie," said Bündchen when asked about the rumors.

"This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful," she continued. "They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course, for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified."

She also repeated an oft-forgotten truth, it's impossible to know from the outside what's happening in someone's relationship.

"No one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship," she concluded.

What Really Happened Between Tom Brady And Gisele Bündchen?

Gisele and Brady's separation was shocking, but as she said in the interview, it's impossible to know what's going on inside a relationship.

Her choice of words though, that it wasn't "healthy," implies a significant problem. Though, of course, such problems could easily be created by infidelity.

Bündchen denied that possibility as forcefully as she could, though the timeline of public appearances with Valente does indicate the gap between announcing the divorce and starting the new relationship was relatively short. If not nonexistent.

Gisele claims the two started dating in June 2023, but they were spotted out together long before that. And previous reports said that the 46-year-old Brady wasn't sure himself.

But Bündchen maintains her innocence, so it's unlikely we'll ever get more than that.
