Father Turns In Teenage Son For Vandalizing World War 1 Memorial

A father is being commended for turning his teenage son into police after he vandalized a World War 1 Memorial with anti-Israeli messages.

The son was part of a recent wave of Pro-Hamas protests that have engulfed New York City in recent weeks across college campuses and more. The mob-like mentality has given the impression that lawbreakers are able to do as they want, when they want, without facing repercussions.

That is until dad found out and reported him to the police so that he could be held accountable for his actions. Way to go, pops!

PRO-HAMAS PROTESTS HAVE ENGULFED AMERICA'S CITIES

The 107th Infantry Memorial World was defaced by the 16-year-old and other vandals earlier this week as they spray-painted words such as "Gaza," "Free Palestine," while also plastering the area with anti-Israeli stickers. The action was widely condemned and received coverage in local NYC papers, which is believed to be how the father recognized his son in photos taken at the scene.

The high school junior was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree - which is a  felony, and "making graffiti" - which is a misdemeanor.

Afterwords, NYPD Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry tweeted out a photo of the boy in handcuffs while sitting in the police station. "The despicable vandalism we saw earlier this week on the WWI Memorial will not be ignored, and will not go unpunished. This isn’t simply juvenile hijinks - it’s an act of desecration that undermines the freedoms our heroes fought and died for," Daughtry added.

MORE PARENTS SHOULD HOLD KIDS ACCOUNTABLE

As we've seen in recent years, there has been a growing lack of respect - especially from the younger generations towards the law. Without having any fear of repercussions or punishment, it has only allowed the chaos to grow as we now regularly see mobs of people ransack stores. Just last year, a social media-driven riot shut down Philadelphia as influencers like "Meatball" were livestreaming themselves vandalizing stores and stealing goods while laughing about it.

In recent weeks, we frequently heard from college protesters that they weren't afraid of being arrested as they knew very well that they would be released and able to continue their lawbreaking ways; essentially mocking the judicial system.

I can't say for certain, but I'm sure a similar pattern from some of the protesters was that they never faced accountability before.

Kudos to this father for stepping up and being a beacon of light and a great example of what good parenting looks like by teaching his son and, hopefully, his son's friends that you must face the consequences if you break the law.

WOULD YOU TURN YOUR OWN CHILD IN IF THEY BROKE THE LAW?  Tweet me: @TheGunzShow with your thoughts on if this father did right!
