The result ended up in an in-game Super Bowl commercial, also featuring departed and beloved actor Carl Weathers as a mentor figure. (Happy Gilmore, anyone?)

The ad wasn't half bad until the tribute to Weathers hit at the end. By the time "Thank you Carl" hit the screen, the man tears flowed.

Carl Weathers famously starred in a collection of Hollywood classics. Known as a movie star but later realized as a comedic talent, Weathers connected with American viewers for over five decades.
Weathers died Feb. 1 at the age of 76.
