Erin Andrews Unleashes Bonkers Taylor Swift Take

Erin Andrews is the proud owner of a truly wild take about Taylor Swift and the NFL.

Swift has become a focal point in the coverage of the Super Bowl and league as a whole. Many in the country were cheering like hell for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to end the circus that is the Chiefs.

It didn't happen, and Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs and the rest of the sideshow will be in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.

It's now becoming normal for everyone to share a Taylor Swift opinion - whether it's serious or meant to garner some laughs.

Well, Andrews really brought the heat claiming there's pressure to hate T-Swift.

Erin Andrews thinks there's pressure for people to not like Taylor Swift.

"You want me to hate her and I’m not gonna do it. I’ve always loved her and I love her more now," Andrews said on her "Calm Down" podcast with Charissa Thompson, according to the New York Post.

She also encouraged people who don't like the coverage to just stop watching.

This is a truly wild take from Erin Andrews, and I say that as someone who respects her work and thinks she's wildly talented when it comes to moving the needle.

However, this take is simply not connected to reality. People are trying to convince others to hate Taylor Swift? Who is? Name specifically the people who are encouraging others to hate T-Swift?

There's a difference between being annoyed by things not related to football being covered and then wanting to hate someone. The Taylor Swift circus doesn't even really bother me, but I can recognize why it's a bit over-the-top.

I say that as someone who really enjoys T-Swift's music. Her music is legit, and you're simply lying to yourself if you don't understand why she's popular.

I'm not a hater at all, and I know damn well nobody is trying to pressure others to hate her. They just don't want to deal with the nonstop chatter focused on the pop star instead of the actual game.

That's a very rational and understandable position to take.

Everyone needs to just take a chill pill, crack a beer and relax. Let's stop with the fictional narratives and also with the Swift mania. We can do two things at once. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
