Doritos Fires Transgender Influencer After Massive Backlash

Doritos' business interests with transgender influencer Samantha Hudson are over.

The popular snacks brand faced massive backlash after PepsiCo Spain and Doritos Spain teamed up with Hudson, a male claiming to be a female, after his old offensive comments surfaced.

Now, Doritos has pulled the plug. The company told Rolling Stone (via Fox Business), "We have ended the relationship and stopped all related campaign activity due to the comments. We strongly condemn words or actions that promote violence or sexism of any kind."

Doritos is clearly not interested in following the Bud Light model with Dylan Mulvaney. Instead, the brand acted swiftly and cut ties.

Doritos fires transgender influencer Samantha Hudson.

The firing shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who followed the backlash. Hudson claims to be anti-capitalist and Marxist, released a song trashing the Catholic church, wants to destroy the nuclear family and sent incredibly offensive tweets, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

It appears the tweets are the main problem Doritos simply couldn't stomach. One old tweet from Hudson claims he wanted to do "thuggish things" to a minor and another one involved wearing "panties" in front of a young child.

Hudson tweeted, "In the middle of the street in Mallorca in panties and screaming that I’m a nymphomaniac in front of a super beautiful 8-year-old girl," according to the Daily Mail and the Daily Caller.

The tweets no longer appear to be up, but were captured by a Spanish news outlet.

Bud Light never came out forcefully against Mulvaney after backlash, and it resulted in the company losing billions in market value and sales falling off a cliff.

Clearly, Doritos doesn't want to make the same mistake. PepsiCo Spain should never have agreed to a deal with him in the first place, and once his old comments became public, Doritos had to dump him.

You simply can't have a brand ambassador who reportedly talks about kids in incredibly inappropriate fashion.
