Taylor Sheridan Adds Demi Moore To Cast Of New Series

Taylor Sheridan's new series "Landman" is putting together a stacked cast.

The upcoming Paramount+ series from the "Yellowstone" creator stars Billy Bob Thornton, and the plot is described as, "Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast "Boomtown," the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics."

That should be more than enough to get the blood pumping and spark some interest. If it wasn't, Demi Moore getting in on the action should certainly help.

She's joined the cast as Cami - the wife of Thornton's character Tommy Norris.

Does Taylor Sheridan make hits or does Taylor Sheridan make hits? The answer is yes. The man moves the needle and that's why he's one of the most powerful men in the entertainment industry.

Now, Sheridan has added Demi Moore - an old school sex symbol - to the cast of his latest major production. She's the woman famous for "A Few Good Men," "Indecent Proposal," "Striptease," "G.I. Jane" and other major hits.

She was a SUPERSTAR at her peak in the 1990s, and while she's definitely not at the same level today, she still draws significant roles, including FX's "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans."

Now, she's joining "Landman" from Taylor Sheridan, and while it's impossible to know for sure just yet what the role will be like, I'm definitely thinking it's going to be very sinister.

The entire show is about oil wars between powerful people. Her character has to be a hawk. What's the point of casting Demi Moore as a dove? That's not her style at all. Anyone who has ever seen "G.I. Jane" knows she can push the limits.

"Landman" likely won't be out until late 2024, but I can already tell it's going to be a great time that lives up to the rest of Sheridan's work. Moore and Thornton as an oil power couple is bound to be TV gold. Let me know how you think the show will work out at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
