OutKick's David Hookstead Responds To Death Threat From LSU Fan, Vows To Never Surrender: VIDEO

I won't let a deranged LSU fan intimidate me into backing down.

As OutKick readers are well-aware, I was sent an incredibly troubling and disturbing death threat from an LSU fan after opining that I find Caitlin Clark to be a better role model than Kim Mulkey's roster.

It's certainly an opinion you're free to disagree with, but a death threat? That's a bridge too far. That's why I was so stunned when I heard X user Jordan/@MetroSpider2900 tell me in a voice message, "Hey big, homie. I'm just trying to let you know I'll slime your ass out. I'll wipe your f*cking nose. I'll kill you, b*tch. Keep Angel Reese's name out of your f*cking mouth, boy. What the f*ck wrong with you, white trash."

I will not be intimidated by a death threat from an LSU fan.

The death threat from the unhinged LSU fan quickly became national news, and word of it even reached readers on the other side of the world, who were kind enough to offer their support over email at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

It's clear many people found the situation as dark and disturbing as I did.

Many have asked me whether or not I will get the police involved, what security precautions are being taken and how I'll respond.

I made the decision to answer those questions and more in a video for all the readers. I have one point that I make, and it's non-negotiable:

I will not back down, I will not surrender, I will not apologize for my opinions and I will not be intimidated.

You can watch my full thoughts below, and let me know your reaction to the situation at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Never bend the knee.

This is the United States of America, and nobody should ever be afraid to speak their mind. I have a great life, and I'd be sending a terrible message if I just bowed down and cowered because of a death threat.

We sent a generation of young men to liberate Europe and the Pacific during WWII. The least I can do is take a stand for free speech.

Furthermore, my original point of Clark being a better role model than Kim Mulkey's team still holds true. Again, here are just a handful of examples:

So, no, I won't apologize or back down for my opinion, and a threat from an online coward won't get me to change my mind. You either stand for something or you'll fall for anything. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you agree!
