CMT Awards Feature Several Powerful Toby Keith Tributes

There were some awesome tributes to Toby Keith Sunday night at the CMT Awards.

The country music icon passed away at the age of 62 in early February after battling stomach cancer. His death rocked the country music world.

Toby Keith was one of a kind, a proud patriot, a great entertainer and it might be a long time until we see anyone like him again in the music industry.

He died far too soon, and it's a loss people are still feeling.

CMT Awards honor Toby Keith.

Well, fans of Keith's music got a bit of a treat during the CMT Awards because there were plenty of touching and emotional tributes throughout the show.

Lainey Wilson definitely brought the heat with "How Do You Like Me Now?!" and there was plenty more where that came from.

Check out a roundup of the touching tributes to Keith below.

If those tributes didn't pull at your emotions, then I have to ask whether or not you're even a real Toby Keith fan. He was an icon and a giant in the country music world.

The "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" singer might no longer be with us, but his memory and music will always be with the millions of fans who loved his work.

He was a damn good American, and the fact he had so many tributes during the CMT Awards tells you everything you need to know about the legacy he left behind.

Raise a toast to Toby Keith one more time and pour one out in his memory. He definitely is missed. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
