Horrifying New Trailer Drops For Civil War Film: VIDEO

The second trailer for "Civil War" is out, and it looks like the A24 movie is going to be awesome.

The highly-anticipated film from Alex Garland follows America as it's plunged into a massive civil war between the federal government and loyalist states battling an alliance of southern states and California and Texas. It also appears chunks of the west are aligned with the Texas/California alliance.

Does that make sense on paper? Not really, but it's an intriguing point I'm sure the film will look to hammer home. What I do know is that the latest trailer looks awesome.

Give it a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

New "Civil War" trailer hits the web.

What do we all think about the trailer? I think it looks fascinating, and it definitely looks like A24 might have a monster hit on its hands.

What's most interesting is it appears the federal government is run by liberals who are refusing to give up control. It would have been so easy for Hollywood to paint conservative states as the enemy, but…..that doesn't seem to be the case.

The southern states, California and Texas are definitely painted in a positive light. It's unique, and definitely unexpected.

Now, is there a chance "Civil War" is a woke mess? Sure. Anything is possible these days when it comes to Hollywood, and don't think I didn't notice the nail paint on the sniper.

However, the two trailers that have been released are both entertaining. It looks like "Civil War" might be a must-watch for people who enjoy "Red Dawn." It also has similar vibes to the old CBS show "Jericho," which was criminally underrated.

The film drops April 12, and I'll definitely be making a trip to the theater.  Let's hope it lives up to the hype. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
