Part of the Francis Scott Key Bridge is in the Baltimore harbor after being hit by a cargo ship.

Emergency responders were looking for at least 20 people believed to be in the water following the bridge collapsing, according to the same Fox News report.

Officials are describing it as a mass casualty event, but it's not known as of publication if anyone has died. The ship - a Singapore-flagged vessel - caught fire prior to sinking.

"[At] 1:35 a.m., Baltimore City police were notified of a partial bridge collapse, with workers possibly in the water, at the Francis Scott Key Bridge," the Baltimore Police told Fox News in a statement.

The situation remains incredibly fluid as emergency units attempt to get people out of the water. Keep checking back to OutKick for any further updates as we might have them, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
