Apple's New Crime Mystery Looks Like A Very Sinister Ride: TRAILER

Apple's upcoming series "Sugar" looks really interesting.

The tech giant is currently enjoying a ton of success thanks to "Masters of the Air" being the best show of 2024, and it appears Apple plans on keeping the momentum high with the series starring Colin Farrell.

The plot is described as follows:

"'Sugar' is a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture and television history: the private detective story. Academy Award nominee Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried."

Does that spark up your interest? It definitely should, but if it didn't, I have a feeling the trailer will do more than enough to get the job done.

"Sugar" from Apple with Colin Farrell looks like a very fun time.

Sold. I'm 100% sold. I don't even need to know any more details in order to watch "Sugar." The plot sounds awesome and the trailer is OUTSTANDING.

Dark crime sagas are always fascinating to me and millions of other Americans. This country is obsessed with crime stories - fictional ones and true crime thrillers.

It's just the truth of the matter. People in this country love crime stories. There's probably a deeper conversation to have on that topic, but for now we're focused on "Sugar."

I'm getting serious vibes of "I Am the Night" mixed with a little "True Detective." Of course, Colin Farrell starred in season two of "True Detective," and it wasn't very impressive. Season two is seen as a huge bust.

However, let's not prejudge "Sugar" just because his "True Detective" season wasn't great. The trailer promises a wild ride, and any show about dark family secrets is always going to grab my attention.

The upcoming Apple TV+ series premieres April 5, and I'll definitely be watching. Let me know your thoughts on the trailer at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
