ANOTHER Person Got Stuck In An Airplane Bathroom

Flying these days has really turned into the dumps.

Just weeks after I wrote about a passenger getting locked in an airplane bathroom for over an hour and a half - it happened AGAIN, to someone else.

Apparently, whoever is in charge of installing doors on airplanes these days doesn't know what the heck they are doing.

HUSBAND WAS STUCK FOR OVER 30 MINUTES

According to a now-viral Reddit post by the wife of the passenger, the husband - whose name is Brent, went up to go to the bathroom halfway through their flight from Salt Lake City, Utah to New Orleans, Louisiana.

"After five minutes, I wondered what was going on," the wife said as she was with their 2-year-old and 4-year-old kids waiting for him to return. At one point, she says she even joked that her hubby was taking a "much-needed" break from the kids and their "whiney demands and frequent tantrums."

Welcome to reality, lady. Shocked it took you four years to realize that the only place for dad to get some peace and quiet is in the bathroom. Unfortunately for Brent, this bathroom break stunk

After a few more minutes with her husband nowhere in sight, the flight attendants informed everyone that someone was stuck in the bathroom.

"The door is jammed, and someone is stuck in there," the attendants said before they were "yanking the bathroom door handle," trying to open it, the wife continued. Gotta hand it to her for that word choice to describe what was happening - well done, well done.

PILOT TO THE RESCUE!

After being stuck in the small, stale, pool-smelling, nauseating bathroom for over 35 minutes, Brent finally was able to get out - thanks to the PILOT himself who came out and did some sort of MacGyver type move to open the door while Brent went full Karate Kid and began kicking it nonstop.

"I think they may have needed the pilot's permission to potentially damage the door to get Brent out," the wife wrote.

Fortunately for Brent, it all worked out - unlike a different passenger who was stuck for over 90 minutes before the attendants slid a note under the door telling him to "remain calm," and that they would open the door once they landed. He ended up getting injured after being tossed around during the landing, with the airline compensating him with a $60 voucher.

DELTA DIDN'T REFUND THEM

That was more than Brent and his wife got from Delta, who said that the airline didn't refund them anything for the father's crappy ordeal.

In fact, they asked the wife not to share or post any of the videos of her husband being rescued from the bathroom. However, when Delta didn't show them the money, she said screw this and posted it anyway.

"Delta Air Lines asked that I wouldn’t share the videos a fellow passenger took for me on social media (I couldn’t leave my kids in their seats alone to take my own pictures/videos). But customer service wouldn’t even refund our, as you can imagine, terrible flights. So…here we are," she wrote.

Knowing the flight industry these days, I can't wait to write about them getting a bill in a few weeks for the broken door because you just know that's going to happen.

FLYING IN 2024 IS WILD

Whether it's dealing with lunatics that think they are seeing ghosts, to flight attendants starting a damn Taylor Swift sing-a-long, something weird is happening that is setting people off once they step onto the plane.

All I have to say is we need to fix the PLANE doors and also the BATHROOM doors ASAP.

Otherwise, we're going to have more instances of people deciding to use the aisle to do their dirty deed.
