Airbnb Prices For The NFL Draft In Green Bay Are Infuriatingly Expensive

People planning to attend the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay had better be ready to spend a lot of money.

The home of the Packers will host the draft next April from the 24th through the 26th, and people will likely flood the small city.

More than 775,000 people attended the draft in Detroit, and while I doubt Green Bay pulls that kind of number, there will be a massive influx of NFL tourists.

It just won't come cheap.

Green Bay Airbnb Prices Are Insane For The 2025 NFL Draft

The Green Bay Press Gazette had some eye-opening details about the Airbnb situation on the ground in Green Bay, and whats they found was staggering:

A three-bedroom home in the 1100 block of Shadow Lane with space for 10 people across Lombardi Avenue from Lambeau Field is asking for almost $17,900 per night during the NFL draft, April 24-26. If you stayed from Sunday to Sunday, April 20-27, that'd cost you $125,000, plus a $200 cleaning fee plus a $17,675 Airbnb service fee for a total of $142,875. Plus taxes.

If you have more than two people or want a whole house or apartment to yourself, a few properties are available for about $1,000 per night, but most units in the Lambeau Field area will cost you between $1,800 and $20,000 per night, or $12,600 to $140,000 for draft week.

Naturally, I had to hop over to AirbnB to see just how crazy the situation is, and it didn't take long to realize prices are truly as bad as reported.

One nice home with a pool caught my eye until I saw it was more than $64,000 before taxes. And it's not even that close to Lambeau. Below is a screenshot of the bill at its baseline value.

For comparison, the average American earns just under $60,000 a year before taxes slice up their paycheck. That means the average American can't come close to affording a week stay in Green Bay at one of the nicer homes. They wouldn't even come close to netting enough.

This is what happens when the NFL decides to hold the NFL Draft in a small market area without many hotels. The Airbnb market gets a huge boost, and homeowners are going to cash in.

If you're not a Packers fan or don't care about the NFL draft, why not ditch out for a week? You might be able to cover an entire year's worth of mortgage payments with a quick week long exit.

How much money would you need to ditch your home for the NFL Draft and let strangers crash at it? Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
