14-Year-Old Pumps Bullet Into Robber's Head At Philly Pizza Shop

A would-be robber at a Philly pizza shop got a big surprise when he reached over the counter at Bold Pizza and tried to steal cash from the family-run business. A 14-year-old boy pulled a gun and blasted the robber in the head during the December 9 incident.

According to local media outlets, police believe the robber and two other men had just pulled a heist at a CVS pharmacy before turning their attention to the pizza shop. But in this case, the robber met his match in the form of the boy who got his hands on a gun didn't even hesitate to use it.

Police followed the trail of blood left by the robber's head wound and found him at a nearby subway station. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition, NBC Philadelphia reported.

Crime in Philly, as it is in numerous cities across the United States, is up big time in 2021. As of December 16, Philly has had 535 homicide victims this year, which absolutely smashed the city's all-time record of 500 homicide victims in 1990 during the crack cocaine epidemic.

Things are so bad in Philadelphia that the city's police leaders announced this week that they're bringing in extra bodies from other parts of the city to patrol Center City and the FBI will also be involved in an increased police presence.

“Give them what they want,” Deputy Police Commissioner Joel Dales told residents. “Give them what they want. Do not, do not fight with the suspects. Your life is worth more than that.”

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner was quickly rebuked this month when he claimed that the city doesn't "have a crisis of lawlessness" and added that Philly doesn't "have a crisis of crime, we don't have a crisis of violence."

Former Philly Democratic Mayor Michael Nutter wasn't having it.

"I have to wonder what kind of messed up world of white wokeness Krasner is living in to have so little regard for human lives lost, many of them Black and brown, while he advances his own national profile as a progressive district attorney," Nutter wrote in an op-ed.
