Cowboys Players Anonymously Voice Frustrations With Coaching Staff

Anyone who watched the Monday Night Football game between Dallas and Arizona Cardinals knew it was bad. The Cowboys lost 38-10, scoring their only touchdown late in the game well after a comeback was out of reach.

The team's record now sits at 2-4 under new coach Mike McCarthy, and the frustrations of coaches and players are mounting. A few anonymous quotes from within the organization have even made their way to reporters.

On Tuesday, NFL Network reporter Jane Slater made some of these quotes public. One player has called the coaching staff "totally unprepared. They don't teach. They don't have any sense of adjusting on the fly." Another player added that "they just aren't good at their jobs."

Slater then went on the NFL Network to discuss the situation further. Here's what she's been hearing:

Yikes.

This is the last thing members of the Cowboys organization want to hear following a big loss. It's even worse for McCarthy and the rest of the coaching staff. They were brought in to get a talented team over the hump, something former coach Jason Garrett could never do.

Things have instead gotten worse, and members are now willing to make the dysfunction public.

Slater does point out that injuries have been an issue all season. Quarterback Dak Prescott, left tackle Tyron Smith, linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and, most recently, right guard-turned-left tackle Zack Martin are all banged up. Some are done for the year. But the problems in Dallas go beyond injuries.

If the losing continues, it's only going to get worse. Let's see what Jerry Jones has to say about this situation.
