Clay: Constant Sanitizing Proves To Be Nothing More Than Cosmetic Theater

We all spent the past year trying to wipe away COVID-19, and now the CDC is saying, “Hey everybody, it’s actually not necessary.”

It’s true, as it appears that your chances of getting the coronavirus from touching a surface are about 1 in 10,000, per no less than the CDC. (Read the full story on OutKick here.)

And the over-sanitization of everything was among the topics Clay Travis addressed on OutKick the Show.

“So all those Lysol wipes, so all the obsessive cleaning that you have seen, it has all been cosmetic theater,” Clay says. “Now, I don’t have anything against cleaning, but that does not actually make anyone safer from COVID.

“So, again, there has been an unbelievable amount of cosmetic theater, doing things in this country that don’t actually have any impact as it pertains to COVID. (And) lecturing people for not doing them.”
