Clay Travis: Jury Got It Right In Kyle Rittenhouse Case

Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges, as OutKick's Bobby Burack relayed, and that was the right decision by the jury in the highly publicized trial, Clay Travis said on the The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show.

"It makes me feel good as a lawyer and in the American judiciary system that these 12 jurors listened to the facts in the case," Clay said. "They were not led astray by all the lies in the media, by all the attacks on Kyle Rittenhouse.

"The president of the United States called Kyle Rittenhouse a white supremacist in (his) presidential campaign. Disgraceful performance by Joe Biden. Disgraceful by many people, frankly, at CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post -- all of them proclaimed that Kyle Rittenhouse was guilty."

Rittenhouse’s attorneys argued their client was acting in self-defense when he shot three men in August 2020 during riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that resulted from the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Rittenhouse killed two men -- Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36 --and wounded another, Gaige Grosskreutz, now 27.

Ultimately, the jury agreed with Rittenhouse's defense team.

"Our judicial system never has been and never will be perfect, because it was created by men," Clay said. "And everything that men create is flawed. But, we have the greatest judicial system in the history of the world.

“Based on all the facts that were presented to this jury in this case, they got the right result," Clay said. "They were willing to stand up for truth and justice even in the face of potential mob response and attacks on them."
