Classic Uniforms Revealed For 'Field of Dreams' Matchup Between Reds, Cubs

The Field of Dreams-themed matchup from last year between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees proved that if you broadcast it, fans will come.

THE ‘FIELD OF DREAMS’ GAME IS MOST-WATCHED GAME IN 16 YEARS

Returning to the ratings well, the MLB is bringing back the Field of Dreams game this season, this time featuring the Cincinnati Reds facing off against the Chicago Cubs.

Both teams dropped their long-anticipated uniforms for the second edition of the movie-inspired matchup on Monday.

Cincinnati is throwing it back all the way to 1919 with their classic unis, while the Cubs revive their at-home look from the late 1920s.

Reds infielder Kyle Farmer gave his thoughts on bringing back the old-school look.

"That brings a different aspect of our mentality of playing the game," Farmer shared, as relayed by USA Today. "You put on an old uniform and it's just a different feel to playing baseball. I think we're wearing our pants up. I don't normally wear my pants up but I think we're doing that. So, that'll be kind of different."

The game will air Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. (EST), live from Dyersville, Iowa — the signature spot from the 1989 baseball classic starring Kevin Costner.
