UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell said he’d take on Jake Paul anytime.
The 51-year-old fighter may have fought only once in the past decade, but he still tweeted that he’d be ready anytime to take on the 24-year-old YouTuber.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion said on Twitter on Monday he was “ready anytime for that clown.”
Liddell has lost six of his last seven fights, including his last appearance in 2018, when Tito Ortiz knocked him out, per Bleacher Report.
But he was one of the most feared strikers in the UFC in his prime, defending the UFC light heavyweight title four times after beating Randy Couture to obtain it in 2005.
BJP.com reports that Liddell (21-9) is certainly one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time and a UFC Hall of Famer through and through, but for Paul (3-0), getting Liddell to call him out shows his tactics are working — he’s bringing eyes and money to the sport.
Be careful who you’re calling a clown, Chuck.
LMAO…a rude awakening awaits you…better off not answering the doorbell.
Liddell’s “lights out” button is too big and sensitive now. Fighting this young lion wouldn’t be pretty.
This Jake Paul is marketing himself. He is afraid of real challengers.
