Chanelle Punton Knows What You Want, Tiger Woods Is Smiling & The Nasty Boys Get Together

Remember when ESPN thought putting a guy in a lift was good television

I spent the 2018 NFL season trying to tell ESPN how big of a disaster it was to have Booger McFarland up in a lift and how terrible he was at television. Then people started sending me photos of Booger's lift blocking the view of fans in the stand. I'm pretty sure that went on for 2-3 weeks and that was the end of the Booger mobile. ESPN has had some disastrous seasons with its MNF booth, but that year, combined with the year where they put Booger in the booth had to be the worst two years in the history of the NFL on ESPN.

My big ask was to bring some sort of calm to the MNF booth. Stop with the stupidity. Bring in some guys who weren't constantly trying to be like Booger. So ESPN went out and hired Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick to handle Monday Night Football. It's not an all-timer crew by any stretch, but it brings down the volume of the dumb Booger era and let's us get back to not wanting to punch the 65" LED. Of all the ESPN old-timers, Steve Levy is the man. A decade ago, this guy provided me with all sorts of incredible bar photos with the ladies. He didn't mind having a couple pops on the NHL beat and had fun working in sports.

Griese and Riddick are harmless. I can't remember a night where they made me want to put a boot through the television. That's positive.

Now all three will be back for the 2021 season.

• Speaking of NFL broadcasting crews, I'd like to hear which one is the best. I was good with Kevin Harlan and Trent Green.

• How about this MIT research that says you're as safe at six feet as you are at 60 feet when indoors. It's time to remove those Xs on the parking lot at the outdoor ice cream shops, you lunatics. Grown adults should know how close to get to other grown adults while waiting to get a large chocolate explosion sundae.

• Mom's still here so I think it's my duty this morning to get some food rolling. Enjoy your day.
