With the NFL Draft closing in, everyone still seems to be talking about the 4th overall pick, which belongs to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South.

Teams from around the league are calling the Falcons about that fourth pick because they feel that moving up to four would assure they could nab one of the top QBs in the draft.

One team still on the lookout for a quarterback is the Denver Broncos. Though they have Drew Lock, the team has been very open about perhaps drafting a QB in round one.

Lock has played 18 career games in the NFL, and the Broncos have evidently seen enough and now think they need to upgrade the QB spot.

A report from Denver Gazette's Woody Paige says that Broncos GM George Paton has made a call to the Falcons, inquiring on what they would want for that 4th overall pick.

According to Paige, Paton has “Mile High regard” for top quarterback prospects Justin Fields and Trey Lance.

But is the report even true?

Some Denver reporters are disputing the rumor, saying that thus far, the Broncos have NOT made a call to the Falcons.

Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot says that the team has plenty of options sitting at four. They can move either up or down, depending on the bounty that a team offers.

“There are going to be some really good players there at No. 4. We can move up, and we can move down and acquire more picks. There’s just a lot of different scenarios to really go through," Fontenot said via AtlantaFalcons.com.

"It’s a prime spot to be in. It’s not somewhere that we want to be in very often with this team, but we are going to take advantage of that and be open to all possibilities.”

If the Broncos do, in fact, offer a trade, their 9th pick will likely be part of the package. From there, they'll have to see who is available and how highly the Broncos value them.
