The battle between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills is set get underway on Sunday. The victor will move on for a chance at Super Bowl LV. There's another battle brewing, however, and it's a little bit more light-hearted.

A supermarket chain in Buffalo has decided to take a barbecue sauce based on Kansas City off its shelves leading up to the that AFC championship showdown. The response? A donation to food banks in both cities.

It all began on a local radio show in Buffalo. Hosts Rich "Bull" Gaenzler and Rob Lederman requested the removal of any and all KC Masterpiece sauces. Four local stores of Dash's Market obliged the request, at least temporarily, in a fun move.

In a counter move, KC Masterpiece announced on Friday that it would be donating to a food bank in both cities. That donation included 5,000 bottles of sauce and $5,000, which went to FeedMore WNY in Buffalo and Harvester's-The Community Food Network in Kansas City.

As intense as things can get on the field, it's nice to see the fun in a growing rivalry. The moves by both sides led to a GoFundMe, which is raising more money for those food banks. That will hopefully get the competitive juices going for both fan bases in an attempt to raise money for a good cause.

We need to see this sort of thing more often.
