Carrie Underwood Liked Matt Walsh’s Nashville Anti-Mask Talk On Twitter And People Are Furious

Videos by OutKick

County music star Carrie Underwood is under fire for — wait for it — liking a Matt Walsh tweet that shows an anti-mask speech he gave last week. Those who like masks more than their own children are firing negative tweets towards Underwood faster than the Taliban can scoop up free firearms.

Walsh gave a speech to the Nashville school board late last week and spoke out against mask mandates for children. Walsh compared the school board’s decision to mandate masks to rabid dogs wearing muzzles. He went on to compare children being made to wear masks with child abuse and listed a number of facts that show that mask mandates are ineffective and harmful. He closed his speech by saying the mandate is a disgrace and that the school board should all be ashamed of themselves. His powerful, factual speech was met with a round of applause.

The 2:20 video has been viewed more than 1 million times in less than a week.

Underwood, along with 43,500 others, gave the tweet a “like.” But the fact that she had her own opinion ruffled more than a few feathers.

Despite the unwarranted but utterly predictable backlash from the woke mob, Underwood’s also been on the receiving end of plenty of positive vibes:

Underwood’s provided us with a slew of hits, but Tuesday’s hit to the left is definitely a chart topper.

  1. wow, so a nouveau country star is having to “virtue signal” to not be “cancelled.”

Welcome to the “LEFT” side of America. Poor Carrie could have just stayed in Oklahoma and been the “farm girl” she was sold as while staying true to her heart, but once she was “in” the leftist media cabal, she has to either tow the liberal line or get cancelled… sadly, too many people who make it in refuse to give it up.. This is why I love OUTKICK… I know most of these folks walked away to preserve their own souls.

And besides, County music, today, sounds like a night-club house dance remix…not exactly what Hank (all 3), Waylon, Loretta, Marty, Johnny and Patsy were trying to do.

  2. I don’t know why Carrie Underwood would apologize for her opinion. Most of the whiny asses who attacked her opinion don’t listen to her music so why does she give a fuck what any of the losers.

  3. When one is as famous as Carrie Underwood … one is. ALWAYS going to have trolls and stalkers who try to tear her down. It comes with the territory … sigh.

Unless she received 1,000s of attacks for this innocuous comment, it’s Non-News.
