Can Gardner Minshew's New Digs In Philadelphia Help Him Become A Star At The QB Spot?

The Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday dealt one of their quarterbacks to the city of ‘Brotherly Love,’ as the club sent Gardner Minshew to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 6th round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

It’s been a very active offseason at the quarterback spot for the Eagles, who dealt former first-round pick Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts with the intention of Wentz being the opening day starter.

Those plans were set in motion and seemed to be ready to happen when Wentz went down with a foot injury that cost him a lot of the preseason and he had to have surgery.

The good news for the Colts and their fans is that Wentz appears to be ready to return sooner rather than later.

If you’re a fan of Wentz he’ll get another opportunity to shine in 2021, coming off a season in 2020 where he threw for 2,620 with 16 scores and 15 interceptions.

So where does Minshew fall into the mix following Saturday’s trade?

Knowing that Wentz isn’t likely to be available possibly as late as week eight, it might be Minshew’s time to make a big impact and show that he’s ready to be a solid starter on an NFL club.
