Caitlyn Jenner has filed paperwork to take on Democrat Gavin Newsom for governor of California. Yes, Jenner is a Republican. Has been for some time.
Jenner, 71, will be among those running against Newsom in the event a recall election happens this year. Jenner, a former Olympic gold-medalist, even has a website for the campaign right here.
“California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” Jenner wrote. “But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”
According to a Twitter response to Inside California Politics, Jenner claims to be a “fiscal conservative and socially liberal candidate.”
Newsom has come under fire by both parties for his poor handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the talk of a recall election.

We left California 8 months ago. I love the almost daily affirmations confirming we made the right choice.

I couldn’t oppose his lifestyle more. It’s destructive , insane, and makes a mockery out of women by treating femininity like it’s a choice instead of biological. Mini women do not seem to realize this movement is D valuing them day by day as it grows. It’s dangerous.Think about how much we all knew about lgbtq before his interview in 2015? Nothing. Think about the look on someone’s face if you started seriously talking about a transvestite prior to 2015? They would have a look of revulsion involuntarily come across their face.Now We have clinical insanity being marched about as a political/equality movement. That said, he’s a perfect representative for California.
