Buy Mario Cristobal's Oregon House

At the end of the day, Mario Cristobal had no choice but to leave behind his 5,000 sq. ft. estate in Eugene, Oregon that had been "completely updated" in 2020 to fit the lifestyle of a big-time college football coach, according to Realtor.com. Mario was reportedly offered $80 million to come home to Miami and there was no turning down that money.

Now the Eugene, OR house where Mario -- 35-13 with the Ducks -- and wife Jessica began to put down roots is on the market for $1.8 million. The only time Mario's ever going to see Eugene again is if the Hurricanes play a home and home against the Ducks. This house is already an old memory for a coach who will now make $8 million annually for the next ten years.

And with that, the house goes on the market.

From Mario's realtor:

Stunning Regency Estates! Completely updated by Shea Built Construction in 2020, this home is one of Eugene's finest! Featuring a modern chef's dream kitchen with top-of-the-line finishes, marble backsplash, huge island, and butler's pantry. This fabulous open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and includes 4 spacious bedrooms, a large private office, 2 bonus rooms, formal living and dining, and a workout room! Step outside and unwind in your retreat-like backyard with saltwater pool!

Are you a new hire at the University of Oregon making decent money? This house is ready to go. It's 2.3 miles from Autzen Stadium. Starbucks is 1.2 miles. Applebee's is a quick trip across I-5. Cabela's is over that way too. The nearest weed dispensary is 4.3 miles.

In other words, Mario's house is in the heart of it all. He just doesn't have any use for it at this point. That means you need to come in with a lowball offer to see what Mario's mindset is with dumping this house. He might say screw it and take a $400k loss just to get rid of it because he has $80 million coming over 10 years. Know your enemy before negotiating a price.

Mortgage: Approximate $7,500 a month before you hire out the landscaping and pool cleaning job. I notice there's a small koi pond that will need maintenance, so don't forget to add all this up.
