Buy Carson Wentz’s New Jersey House

There are athlete real estate properties where you can tell the athlete can’t wait to leave town, and then there are athlete houses like the one Carson Wentz put on the market Wednesday that clearly indicates he wasn’t planning on leaving the Philadelphia region for a very long time.

Wentz and his wife listed their 7,400 sq. ft. home that sits on 11 acres for $1,700,000, and at that price, the husband and wife get everything they need in one house to live happily ever after…unless the husband’s employer gets fed up with their quarterback and decides to go in a different direction.

Now Wentz, originally from North Dakota, has no use for this house that has been meticulously constructed with plenty of man space while providing the woman with incredible touches like a massive tub looking out on the property.

From Wentz’s realtor Val Nunnenkamp from Keller Williams Realty:

Enter this gated private property for the rare opportunity to own this 5 bedroom, 4+ bath, 7500 sqft master piece of modern mixed with mountain style living on over 11+- acres. Also available is 23 acre farm accessed adjacent to property (see MLS # NJSA141104).

This sunny and totally remodeled multi level home with its state of the art kitchen presenting copper style farmhouse sink and oversized granite will impress the most famous of chefs. Floor to ceiling walls of glass, stone fireplace, wide plank flooring, custom banisters, and barn house sliding doors enhance the abundance of upgrades!

The owner suite is incredible and resembles a relaxing spa like atmosphere offering a custom glass spa shower with several rain showerheads and sprays. The additional 4 bedrooms offer private baths and lots of closet space, plus views. The lower level offers walk out living to a terrace, outdoor kitchen, heated pool and views of the pond. There is a custom bar, gym, and a magnificent theater that seats 10!

Steps away is your own detached entertainment center with an indoor endless pool, game room loft, work center and a bonus hunting room with walk in safe. Use it as a 6+ car garage if need be, along with its current three car attached garage! The geothermal heating, zoned AC along with its southern exposure affords the owner low utility costs. You must see this incredible home just 10 minutes from Route 55 and 30 minutes to the Philadelphia sports centers!

Go through the photos. Does this look like a place Wentz expected to leave anytime soon? I’ll answer that for you: NO! This place looks like it was remodeled like a month ago.

In typical Wentz fashion, the house sits on a non-descript road amongst farm houses and random people just going about their business in life. The nearest Starbucks is 10 miles away. The nearest town, Pilesgrove, has a population of 4,000. This was the house where Wentz’s kids would grow up, where he’d celebrate Super Bowl titles with the boys, suck down cold ones with the boys after running routes out on the 11 acres.

Now it’s all over. Get your bids in.

Mortgage: $7,700 or so a month before you start figuring in fuel costs to run your ATVs across the property.

  1. Good news is there’s plenty of land if Carson ever wanted to do a barn raising (too late now)…bad news is his neighbors only know how to use chain saws for a different kind of cutting. That’s what I read…I have no personal knowledge of any barn raisings there.
