WBC Adds Mayweather’s Portrait To Championship Belt Of All-Time Greats

Floyd Mayweather is no longer the World Boxing Council champion, but his legacy will never be forgotten.

TMZ Sports reports Mayweather's face is now part of the organization's famous green championship belt, as WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said the organization permanently added his portrait to every future belt.

Mayweather's portrait joins belt alongside the faces of greats like Muhammad Ali, Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson, Lennox Luis, and José Sulaiman.

The World Boxing Council is one of four major organizations which sanctions professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization.

While the WBC revealed in 2018 it was considering adding the photo of Mayweather to all future titles that are presented to their champions, it's great to see Mayweather's portrait on the belt as a tribute to his legacy.
