Manny Pacquiao Announces August 21 Bout With Errol Spence Jr.

Just when you thought boxing couldn't get anymore gimmicky, 42-year-old Manny Pacquiao tweets to confirm an August 21 showdown with Errol Spence Jr. in Las Vegas.

This fight is said to have materialized after talks between Terence Crawford and Spence "fell apart". Now the boxing world gets another spectacle, rather than a real fight.

Boxing wise, Spence is undefeated in his last 27 fights. He's also 31 and in the middle of his prime, so this seems like more of a money grab. Somehow, some on Twitter are actually excited about this.

We'd imagine the Spence camp will shift focus to Crawford once more at the conclusion of this fight. Can't believe we're still excited about these fights. At least Vegas won't be wearing masks...
