Dana White Says Floyd Mayweather Should Retire, Discusses Logan Paul's UFC Future

To some, the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul exhibition "boxing match" was a complete sham. To others, it had some potential. Regardless of how you feel about the fight itself, it drew eyeballs -- and money.

Everyone knows that it's all about the UFC nowadays. What Dana White has done with that sport is nothing short of incredible, and his voice holds a lot of sway and power when it comes to how the sport is perceived.

During a recent sit down with TMZ Sports, White talked about Mayweather and Paul. His thoughts on the two fighters is pretty stark. White believes Floyd should take his wildly successful boxing career and finally hang up the mitts at 44 years old.

"I would love to see Floyd retire," White told TMZ Sports. "He's had an incredible career and to do these type of fights , it's silly."

Granted, it shouldn't be surprising that White wants boxing's most recognizable, successful fighter to hang it up, but he's also got a point. The fight against the YouTuber did pull in even more cold, hard cash -- a lot of cash -- which Floyd loves. But these fights are beneath him.

As for Paul and his future, TMZ Sports asked White if the UFC would ever consider signing him to a deal.

"I don't know man, I don't know," White replied. "Here's the thing, not to say that I haven't taken a guy in that's been 0-0 into the UFC and done those types of fights before, I don't know."

White does understand the marketing value in a guy like Paul. Love him or hate him, he draws viewership. A small percentage of people love him, but most just want to see him get his ass kicked. And in the UFC, there's no such thing as holding back.

"Imagine if Kim Kardashian wanted to fight Amanda Nunes. How big do you think that fight would be?" White added. "What do you think Kim Kardashian would make if she fought Amanda Nunes ... probably more than anybody's ever made, ever."
