Blue Checkmarks Force Cris Collinsworth To Apologize

NBC’s Cris Collinsworth is the latest male to feel the wrath of the feminists and the blue checkmarks who lay in the tall grass of social media like the North Vietnamese waiting for invaders to step foot on their turf. Collinsworth unwittingly attempted just such an invasion during the Ravens-Steelers broadcast, sharing a story of a group of women he met while picking up food in Pittsburgh who peppered him with football knowledge that blew him away.

Annnnnnddddd I bet you can guess how the blue checkmarks reacted. They jumped out of the tall grass and held up their weapons — iPhone10s. That’s right, they started blasting the invader with 280 character bullets until a wounded Collinsworth waved the white flag and issued an apology to all those he had hurt with his comments.

“Today on our broadcast I made reference to a couple of women that I met in Pittsburgh who so impressed me with their football knowledge that I wanted to tell their story on the air,” Collinsworth wrote on an iPhone note. “I know the way I phrased it insulted many. I’m so sorry. What I intended as a compliment to the fans of Pittsburgh, became an insult. I’m sick about insulting any fan, but especially female fans and journalists. I know first hand how much harder they have to work than any of us in this industry. I was wrong and I deeply apologize.”

There you have it. You can put one on the board for the blue checkmark warriors. RIP Collinsworth for the next couple of weeks. He’s officially on the checkmark warrior casualty list.

  1. I know I would die, but I think I want to get on that SpaceX ship they’re going to use to try to colonize Mars. This planet is done. You think global warming is going to make us all extinct in 200 years? Twitter’s saying ‘Hold My Beer’.

  2. If it’s wrong for Chris Collinsworth to compliment women who are knowledgeable about football, wouldn’t it also be wrong to applaud Sarah Fuller? Why wouldn’t that also be considered sexist? On Clay’s podcast they run an ad promoting a woman who is a master plumber. I guess that is sexist also.

  3. We all know women are better than men at everything, even being men. The exception is when they want to be treated like women, you know, at Valentine’s Day, or on their birthday and when there is a possum under the house, that kind of shit.

  4. The only media or corporate type with any balls in the guy that owns Goya foods. He told the jerkoffs like Chrissy Teigen and her sissy boy husband to fuck themselves when they called for a boycott of his company. His sales increased after that.

  5. Stop apologizing to women like myself. I love football and I would take it as a compliment. Communication is more than words, it is tone, context and about his intent. He clearly intended it as a compliment, so if others didn’t understand that, it is on them.
