World Series Best Bets for Game 4
After some heavy offense in games 1 and 2, the bats cooled a bit in Game 3 and the Braves held on for a 2-0 win over the Astros. Tonight, the question marks begin for the Braves pitching with what will likely be a bullpen game.
The Astros are sending Zack Greinke to the bump to take the ball and see if he can even up the series. So far in the postseason, we've only seen him twice. Once in each series and he has only thrown 2.1 innings total. His last "good" start was in August, over two months ago. Since that August 23rd start, he's had six appearances spanning 17.2 innings and over it he allowed 22 earned runs. Braves hitters are a lifetime .266 against him with 13 extra-base hits. Joc Pederson is one of the guys that you might consider betting on to have multiple hits or a home run against him. He is 9-for-30 with seven extra-base hits against Greinke.
For the Braves, if it is indeed a bullpen game, they set up fairly well. Most should be pretty rested, even after they went four innings yesterday. The starter has recently been named as Dylan Lee. Lee is a left-handed pitcher who is making the first appearance this postseason. I'm not sure I like this move as the Astros are the best hitting team against left-handed pitching. At least in the regular season they were. Postseason is always a different animal, but I like their chances against a Braves pitcher that is coming from nowhere to start in the World Series. I'm going to take the Astros to win this game at what is looking like a pick'em at -110.
