Trae Young's Status Makes Hawks-Bucks A Tough Bet
Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young has a bone bruise in his foot, but make no mistake, he'll try to give it a go vs. the Milwaukee Bucks.
This, after all, is Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals. And the Bucks have won two straight and now lead the series, 2-1. The Hawks don't want to be down 3-1 and heading back to Milwaukee.
So while Young is listed as questionable, he'll undoubtedly try. This game just means too much. Question is, how impactful will he be? Will he be the man who scored 48 points in Game 1 and led the Hawks to their first conference finals game win since moving to Atlanta (1968)? Or the player who was hobbled after stepping on the ref's foot in Game 3?
The answers to those questions will determine what happens in Game 4. The Hawks are again at home and will be playing in front of a sellout crowd. That should give them the edge.
The Hawks are also a +7. With or without Young, they should be able to cover. Home is not only where the heart is. It's where NBA teams play their best basketball. Take the Hawks and the points.
The over-under of 218.5 is a toughie. Without a fully healthy Young, the Hawks may struggle to put up points. Meanwhile, the Bucks are always hit or miss. It's probably safest to take the under this time.
