Same Game Parlay: Sixers-Hawks Game 6
The Sixers have broken the collective heart of their fanbase the last two games. They were up by as many as 26 last game, but still lost once again to the pesky Atlanta Hawks. For us, though, we care about value and where we can make money. Tonight, we put a $10 Same Game Parlay on the match and see if we can exponentially capitalize on the offer from FanDuel where even if we lose, the bet is refunded.
Joel Embiid hasn’t been terrible lately. Honestly, he hasn’t. He has been injured and has been rough in the second half of games, but he is still putting up good numbers. With the 76ers' backs against the wall, he needs to do as much as possible. But, he still has a slight tear in his meniscus. I’m expecting him to get at least 35 tonight. Since there isn’t much value there, I’m taking him to reach that 40+ point mark and get +310. Do not play this if you think this game will be a blowout on either side. Embiid will be rested for Game 7 or next season if this isn’t close.
John Collins has been very strong this entire season for the Hawks. There were rumors of trading him, but I’m fairly certain that they don’t regret holding onto him. I like him to be a force on the boards once again tonight and grab 10+ rebounds. He has done it in three of the five games so far and will continue to provide that hustle and energy that Atlanta needs. Inside their home building, look for him to get put-backs and be a difference-maker there.
Lou Williams used to be a lock for a top-three Sixth Man of the Year candidate. I’m not sure that he is completely healthy because he used to torch teams mercilessly. In fact, I was surprised the Clippers traded an instant offense guy like him. He is used fairly sparingly with the Hawks, averaging only about 15 minutes a game. But, he brought them back (along with Gallinari) in the last game, and I’m assuming they lean on him again and he gets 10+ points.
Because we get our money back if we lose, I’m adding in another play that is juicy on the odds but still has some history of happening. Ben Simmons is not a superstar, but he does defer to others. I think if he and Embiid can work together, we can hit both of these bets tonight. You saw the first half above (Embiid 40+ points), and the second half is Simmons giving out 10+ assists.
Same Game Parlay:
Total odds are +7121, a $10 bet pays out $712.14.
Add in Bogdan Bogdanovic to score the first basket (he’s done it a few times this series) and the odds increase to +40031 and a $10 bet pays $4,003.15 if we win, and $10 if we lose. If you don’t like him, try Embiid, as the 76ers have started hot and the Hawks have started a bit slowly.
