Same Game Parlay: Clippers-Jazz Game 5
Last night, we hit one of our Same Game Parlay (SGP)! If you had played, you would’ve turned $10 into $626. That’s what this is all about. We want a high reward for what is essentially no risk. FanDuel Sportsbook is still offering a refund on your $10 SGP if it loses. So, once again, let’s look for reasonable risk, high reward bets to combine into the parlay.
Tonight, we will focus on the Clippers vs. Jazz. I’m doing this mainly because Kawhi is out, and I think that gives us more predictability than what we can get from the Hawks vs 76ers. So, because Kawhi is out, let’s look at what we think Paul George will produce. I think he has to get at least 30 points. FanDuel isn’t showing a 30+ offering, so I’m going to take him at 35+ points. Most of these superstars are really competitive. George saw what KD did with an ailing team, and I think he will do his best impression in hopes of gaining the advantage in the series.
I’m also going to take Donovan Mitchell to hit 5+ three-pointers. He’s hit six threes in three of the four games so far and hit five in the other. He’s averaging almost 13 attempts a game from deep. Him hitting 5+ threes seems like a foregone conclusion, so much so that the play is only +114.
Another person I’m looking to hit threes is Marcus Morris. He shot lights out in the last game, hitting five of his six attempts. Prior to that, he’s been pretty awful from deep. But, points need to come from somewhere for the Clippers. Morris has the potential to hit more than three, but I’m going to play it a bit safe and play Morris 3+ three-pointers at +194.
The last play I’m adding in here is that the total will go over 230.5. Part of this is that I think the Jazz will probably blow out the Clippers. The other part is that one of the best defenders in basketball is out of the game. Only one of the three games have gone over this total, but two of the others were fairly close. I’m going to add this in as an opportunity for us to capitalize on Kawhi's absence and be fairly easy on both sides.
