This sports betting season is about to be fully loaded. There is football of course, the World Series and the NBA began last week and if we wait just another couple weeks, college basketball will be on our doorstep, too. Early on, it’s important to manage those bets a touch on the conservative side because everyone believes in themselves and they are all technically right. We also don’t quite know who all of these teams are going to be yet, so let’s monitor and win together.

Hornets -6 @ Magic

One thing I do know about this season is Orlando isn’t very good. We may bet on them situationally, but they’ll be right there with OKC all season in the race to the basement. Charlotte is 3-1 ATS with their only loss coming in that overtime fun fest with Boston a couple nights ago. They are also scoring a TON of points early, placing 2nd in the league as of typing. I like them here. However, if they win it’ll only be their second cover as a favorite.

Heat @ Nets, UNDER 219

It’s obviously too early to sound the alarm on Brooklyn (although Kyrie has to feel pretty good) but it’s not too early to wonder, at least, about their offense. Though they have scored over 100 points in all but 1 of their games, everyone does that now. They are 23rd in points per game. These two have combined to go 6-1 to the UNDER including Brooklyn tallying a 4-0 mark. Tonight’s total is the lowest total for the Nets of the season and the 2nd lowest for the Heat and I still think we are going under.

Grizzlies @ Trailblazers, OVER 235.5

If you want points, this may be your game. Offense galore is expected in the Pacific Northwest tonight as the league’s #1 offense (Memphis) comes to battle slanging 123.3 points per game The Trailblazers (#10 offense, 113.7 ppg) ain’t much of a slouch on offense themselves. The Grizzlies have started the season perfect, 3-0, to the OVER while Portland is a respectable 2-1 to the OVER. Memphis is giving up the third most points per game on the other side and Portland is just 3.7 points behind, ranking 22nd in the NBA. It’s a lot of points, but if I’m staying up super late, it’s what o want and the numbers back me up.
