NFL Week 8 Best Bets
The full slate of games is upon us for Week 8 in the NFL. We got started great with two easy wins in the Packers/Cardinals game on Thursday Night. We have a player prop, side, and total to share with you in hopes that we make a profitable Sunday.
Rams vs. Texans
There is no doubt who Matthew Stafford’s favorite target is. Cooper Kupp is having an outstanding season, but don’t forget about Robert Woods. Woods is a very talented receiver that is having inconsistent results this year, but he is getting a good amount of targets. He has 50 on the season, a distant second to Kupp. The Rams shouldn’t have any difficulties with the Texans this week, but the Texans also don’t pose much of an intimidation factor for any passing game. Woods receiving yardage total is 59.5, he’s averaging 60 yards a game. I think he has a great chance this game to get behind the Texans defense. Play the over at -114.
Bucs vs. Saints
Look, I get it, the Saints beat the Packers at home on opening weekend. The Saints are good after bye weeks. They beat them twice last season, but none of that matters now, they are facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints just struggled to play against a bad Seattle team. Mike Evans typically struggles against the Saints, but Brady will still have Chris Godwin and the strong Tampa defensive unit to help him get through the day. I expect the Bucs to win this game by at least a touchdown. I’m going to play the Buccaneers -4.5 at -108.
Eagles vs. Lions
Neither one of these teams is very scary on offense. The Eagles have Jalen Hurts who can’t pass effectively enough to keep his team in the game. The Lions have Jared Goff who is at best a game manager. Both teams should probably rely on their running game. Games that feature a lot of rushing attempts usually have a lower score. Defensively, they both are very similar with the exception that the Lions give up more yardage through the air. As I mentioned though, Hurts isn’t really a good passer. I don’t think either team lights up the scoreboard and we play under 48 at -110.
