MLB Best Bets for Monday, June 14th
Back to the diamond with a lot of good games on today’s slate. I’m looking to play the evening games and see what we can make happen.
Rays vs. White Sox
Tonight is a potential playoff preview with the Rays facing the White Sox. Lance Lynn, a Cy Young hopeful, brings his 1.23 ERA into the game. However, it isn’t going to be easy for the hitters on the White Sox as they have to face Tyler Glasnow. I’m seeing plus money on the White Sox for the game and for the first five innings. I’m looking to play the White Sox through five innings, as Lynn hasn’t given up more than two earned runs in any of his starts this season. Take White Sox, first five +108.
Angels vs. Athletics
On the West Coast, we have the Angles going against the Athletics. Dylan Bundy has been very bad this season. The Athletics have had decent success against him in the past with a .257 batting average. In his only start against them this year, he gave up four earned runs in 2.1 innings. The over/under for home team total is 4 and listed at -120. This is the angle I’m taking. I expect the Athletics to win this game easily and to score at least 4 runs.
Padres vs. Rockies
One other game that I like tonight is in Colorado. The matchup doesn’t have any special names on the mound, but Austin Gomber for the Rockies has been sneaky good at home. Gomber has a 1.33 home ERA and has given up only one HR at Coors this year. San Diego has faced Gomber twice this year, and the games ended in 2-1 win and a 3-2 loss. The Padres have Dinelson Lamet pitching. He has faced the Rockies once so far this season and went for only two innings, giving up one run. But Lamet has a 4.00 ERA on the road, and it is slightly higher during night games. For these reasons, I’m looking at the value in the Rockies tonight and taking them at +126 on the moneyline.
