Did the Phoenix Suns Just Win the NBA Championship?

Somehow, yet another NBA star is injured.

Tuesday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a concerning knee injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. And according to OutKick's Dr. Chao, Antetokounmpo's season is likely over.

Another one. Gone.

Without Antetokounmpo, you'd expect the Bucks to lose out in the ECF. However, because the Hawks' star, Trae Young, is also injured --- who the hell can say?

What does all this mean? The FanDuel SportsBook has the Phoenix Suns listed as significant Finals favorites.

The NBA's parity this postseason has been a positive, but the injuries to big stars has more than offset that silver lining.

Since Young is more likely to return than Antetokounmpo or Kawhi Leonard, Atlanta is the value bet of the three. However, the Hawks don't have the roster to compete with the Suns.

The fun is now in Finals MVP betting.

Chris Paul recently jumped from sixth to third in the odds, only now trailing Antetokounmpo (+125) and Devin Booker (+230). Given Antetokounmpo's expected drop, I'm all in on Paul at +380.

As I explained last week, MVP voting is driven by storylines. Chris Paul is the story of the NBA Playoffs. It's his to lose.

Injuries ruined the Super Bowl and have officially ruined the NBA Playoffs.
