Bet On Suns To Bounce Back From Choke Job
Well, this was supposed to be over already. But the Phoenix Suns returned home with a 3-1 series lead in the Western Conference finals ... and blew it.
And now, the Los Angeles Clippers are back home, trailing 3-2, with a chance to tie it up and force a deciding Game 7. Way to go, Suns. You blew it.
Then again, nothing should motivate the Suns like losing in front of the home crowd. They were totally lifeless in Game 5, playing as if all they had to do was show up. They barely even did that much. So for Game 6 in LA, they should have plenty of motivation.
One thing we know is the Suns are the more talented squad, especially since the Clippers don't have star forward Kawhi Leonard (knee), and he's not expected to return. They are also well-coached, Monty Williams is a strong motivator and an excellent Xs and Os guy.
So go ahead and take the Suns at -1. They will win and will do so by more than a bucket. They will also come to life on defensive, even though that's generally not their strong suit. But we will see a different, much more determined Suns team in Game 6. That means the over-under of 215 won't be surpassed -- and you should take the under.
This is the Suns' last chance before it becomes panic time. Here's to betting they finish the job in every way, shape and form.
