Believe It Or Not, There Is Other College Basketball Happening

If you’re anything like me, you can’t get enough of basketball. I can’t get enough of College Basketball, and that’s why, despite baseball season starting, I have been focused on all of these basketball games. We only have the remainder of this week before we have to wait until October again for College Hoops. With that being said, I am going to focus on a game between two teams in the College Basketball Crown tournament as Oklahoma takes on Colorado

Oklahoma didn’t have a great season, but they did go 19-15, good enough for a winning season. They actually showed a lot of promise until around the start of 2026. From the beginning of the season until January 3rd, the team was 11-3. Then they ran into the SEC games, and everything fell apart. They lost nine straight games against conference opponents, with only three of those games being what I would consider a close game. After winning two games, they dropped another two. They did end the season on a nice run with six straight wins before they dropped a game to Arkansas in the SEC Quarterfinals. They even gave the Razorbacks a run for their money before losing by three.

Colorado didn’t have a great season either, but they also will end the year over .500. For the season, they are 17-15 for the year. Similarly to Oklahoma, they started the year strong. They won their first eight games of the year, but played very few players who were actually full of talent. They lost to Colorado State, which was a bit of an eyebrow-raiser. After that game, they won two straight, running their record to 10-1. They went 2-8 over their next ten games. It seems like they also had a big challenge against the Big 12, going just 7-11 for the year in conference games. In the Conference Tournament, they ended up losing to Oklahoma State by nine points.

This is one of those games that is more of a challenge to bet on because you have two bad teams, but someone has to win, right? Oklahoma is a slightly better three-point shooting team than Colorado. They were also better at getting to the free-throw line than the Buffaloes. I don’t expect either of these teams to be all that impressive on defense, but I’m not sure they will score 80+ points in the game each, either. The best look in this game is to take the under in the first half. Both are coming off of basically two weeks off of basketball. They are playing in the MGM Grand Arena, so they probably aren’t exactly used to playing in this arena. Give me the under for the first half.
